When I say “engage your core” what do you do?
Do you suck it in?
Do you hold your breath?
Do you clench your butt like you’re picking up a quarter?
Engaging your core is a lot more of a gentle movement than a lot of mamas believe.
Which is why I’m going to teach you how to properly engage your core in this video.
Because you can’t have strong abs if you aren’t doing the exercises correctly. And you’re not doing the exercises correctly if your core isn’t engaged properly.
So let’s chat about how to do that…
When you sit down, engage your core.
When you stand up, engage your core.
When you pick up your itty-bitty one (or not-so-itty-bitty-anymore one), engage your core.
The more you practice this, the more natural the movement will feel – making it easier to properly engage your core in all your core strengthening exercises.
By properly engaging your core you’re literally training your core muscles to pull in, instead of push out so you can have that corset tightening effect and regain some strength and function.
It won’t happen overnight, but with time and consistent training, you can start to feel and see results.
